Learning music involves multi-sensory ways of absorbing music, from reading music, listening to recordings, singing along, and body percussion. Jenna has experienced first hand the benefits of interpreting music in different ways and loves to instruct students to do the same. Lessons involve rhythm execution, solfege, memory work, and ear training.
As students progress they are welcome to suggest their own repertoire, which Jenna can either arrange or teach the student to arrange or learn by ear. Lessons can be as strict or free as the student desires, with emphasis on setting reasonable goals and milestones, whether that is doing RCM exams, playing a recital, or joining a local ensemble.
Jenna is currently based out of the Marmora area where she teaches locally. She also gives lessons in Belleville one day a week at a beautiful facility in town.
